by National Sports Convention | October 21, 2020 | News

The CEO’s of Sport Australia and Sport New Zealand will be focused at the NSC Forums on encouraging us to embrace the opportunities to plan for and where needed generational changes.

At each NSC Forum, a panel of industry luminaries will join Rob Dalton, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Sport Australia and Peter Miskimmin, Chief Executive Officer of Sport New Zealand to discuss their vision and message and explore what it means for our industry. This is one of the highlights of the NSC Forums this year and we are pleased for the panel sessions to include:

Sydney Panel:

Karen Jones
(Chief Executive Officer, NSW Office of Sport)
Steven Head
(General Manager, Hornsby Shire Council)
Ross Bidencope
(Interim Chief Executive Officer, Sport NSW)

Melbourne Panel:

Peter Betson
(Head of Sport, Recreation and Racing – Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, Victorian Government)
Lisa Hasker
(Chief Executive Officer, Vicsport)
Jacqui Weatherill
(Chief Executive Officer, Stonnington City Council)

As Peter Miskimmin says in this interview “As Leaders we see this as an opportunity for transformational change, whilst there is disruption, step back, step up and look for that opportunity.”

The panel discussion will also explore what the opportunity means in each state.

As sport returns to our communities, live attendance is expected to be high and current registration bookings are demonstrating this, so register now to not miss out. Group discounts also available!

The full program is now available to download and be sure to follow the NSC Forums on Facebook, and LinkedIn for all the latest news and updates.
